This project involved the complete refurbishment of the existing theatre, including conversion of the auditorium to a 120 seat recital room, with new lighting, electrics and air conditioning.
The original concrete box of the auditorium was tuned acoustically with angled hardwood panelling. A new oak boarded stage was provided, and new changing facilities for the performers were installed.
Outside the performance space, a bar was created on a new mezzanine level, new offices were installed over the whole of the auditorium, and the means of escape was upgraded, including provision of new hardwood entrance doors.
