This project was for the total refurbishment of James Adams Mews House, built for him by Robert Adams to the rear of Portland Place, which is a Grade II listed building.

The project involved the complete stripping out of the existing building and complete refurbishment of the original structure, comprising two floors above ground, and basement with vaulted ceilings and stone floors.

The project involved the conversion of the building to a very generous house, with new ground floor fenestration, the garage moved, new roof, new roof lights, and new internal layout. This included subtle and sensitive alterations to the items of special historical interest, particularly the timber framed spine wall, and the classical "giant order polite" elevation to Portland Place.
