The building was constructed on a raft to avoid complications in the ground, and timber frame was used for speed of construction, and reduced cost.

The surgery incorporated the two main Consulting rooms with separate examination rooms, plus a further consulting room for a trainee, as well as meeting areas, waiting areas, a nurses’ laboratory, and administration facilities. Single storey building of 200 sq.m. (2300 sq.ft.)
