At A Glance

Conversion of an existing derelict house into four new flats.

In Depth

This listed building was purchased by our clients in a very poor state of repair, with substantial parts of the roof collapsed after a major attack of dry rot. Most of the stucco was missing from the external elevations, and the building was suffering from subsidence from a large “preserved” tree only 2m from the rear wall.

We rehabilitated the whole of the building, including reinstatement of external stucco, new roofs, new pillars and gates.

Internally, the building was stripped back to brickwork and all the rotten timbers were removed, following which the building was completely rehabilitated, replastered, and new kitchens. Also the bathrooms were provided throughout and rehabilitated to be suitable for people with restricted mobility. Accommodated to make the place more accessible, with a range of changes to it to aid mobility such as easy access, tall pedestals basins and a comfortable toilet, also the shower is rehabilitated as the Walk in showers are great for mobility issues.
